Review of the CD with Henry Kaiser:
Review of the concert in which I played TAKEMITSU Toru’s November Steps with UEDA Junko and Odense Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Lan Shui. The first paragraph of the review states: “Shakuhachi and Biwa are the two traditional Japanese instruments that were at the forefront of Tōru Takemitsu’s refined “November Steps” from 1967. The sixth star is given to the eminent soloists, Kiku Day and Junko Ueda, who played the work sublimely and deeply”. They usually only give up to 5 stars in their reviews.
